Golden Milk, aka a turmeric latte, is essentially a cup of freaking warm sunshine, in my opinion. Turmeric is known to be an anti-inflammatory, and since inflammation is at the root of most illnesses, it's safe to say Turmeric gets an A+ from most wellness and medical experts.
The addition of ginger and cinnamon in this recipe make it extra yummy and potent. I whip up this turmeric latte when I start to feel less than 100%, in hopes that I can boost my immune system just a tad. If this is wellness, well then count me in, cause this golden milk is delicious! This recipe is dairy free but it's also caffeine free, so you can drink it morning, noon or night. Enjoy and happy healing!
10 oz almond milk
4 oz water
1 inch piece fresh turmeric (peeled and chopped)
1 inch piece fresh ginger (peeled and chopped)
1 scoop Natural Force Collagen Peptides
1 tsp ground turmeric
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp Fourth and Heart Vanilla Bean Ghee
1 teaspoon honey
Add water, almond milk, fresh ginger and fresh turmeric to a pot and bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Strain and transfer to a blender. (If you don't have cheese cloth or a strainer, you can fish the turmeric and ginger out with a spoon. Worked for me!)
Add the remaining ingredients and blend until frothy.
Pour and enjoy! You can also sprinkle more ground cinnamon on top for pretty latte art.
